About Jackeline Portocarrero-Mitchell, LCSW

A licensed clinical social worker with a strong passion to support, advocate, and collaborate with people of color going through this thing we call life.Whether you found my page via a referral, web search, or just luck, I’m happy to have you here.

You might look like you’re holding it together, but inside you feel overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally drained. Maybe your mind doesn’t shut off, your mood feels unpredictable, or you keep wondering why life feels harder than it “should.” If that sounds familiar, nothing’s “wrong” with you and you’re not alone! I work with adults who are thoughtful, self-aware, and tired of overanalyzing everything without feeling better.
Therapy with me is collaborative, grounded, and practical. We focus on understanding what’s actually going on for you, identifying patterns that keep you stuck, and building tools that help you feel clear and connected to yourself. I’m a LCSW in Illinois and utilize things like CBT, DBT, RO-DBT, and IFS (if that alphabet jargon stuff is what you’re into).
If something here resonates, you don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. We can start exactly where you are and take things one step at a time. Please visit my website (www.jackiethesocialworker.com) for more information (including a consultation guide)!
