My name is Veronica Rodriguez-Cabrera and also known as Vero in my community. I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker residing in San Gabriel Valley, aka Tongva land. I identify as a Xicana/Indigenous womxn and center my role as a mamí, sacred space holder and community member who is guided by spirit. I offer virtual therapy support to folx in California.
I have extensive experience working with trauma and intergenerational healing. My speciality includes Brainspotting therapy, Family Constellations and Emotional Trauma Release. I ground my work in ancestral healing practices. I support folx in reconnecting with their ancestral knowledge. In this process, I guide folx in reclaiming their medicine that comes from within. Through intentional ancestral practices, I assist clients in listening to their internal knowing that is intuition. We will co-create a safe and sacred space to build a trusting relationship with self in order to access ancestral wisdom.
I attended University of California, Irvine (UCI) for my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Social Behavior. For my masters degree, I attended the University of Southern California (USC). Much of my experience has been in Community Mental Health & Wellness and systems. I have spent over 24 years working in mental health. I have worked in residential programs, intensive outpatient programs, community non-profits, school systems and currently have a private practice in Montebello, California.
My intention in this work is for personal and collective liberation. My daily practices are grounded in gratitude and honor the elements: land, air, water and fire.
