About Ednie Caraballo, ASW

You may be feeling overwhelmed by heartache and unsure how to move forward.  From one moment to the next, your world was suddenly turned upside down.  You knew losing someone would be hard, but you weren’t prepared for the heaviness of grief.  Your daily routine that once felt natural and normal, but now it’s just a constant reminder of the hole you feel in your heart.  And nights are so long…during the day you try to distract yourself and stay busy, but the quietness of the night feels unbearable.

Loss reshapes you and it challenges who you are, how you see the world, and how you connect with others. It’s also an invitation to reflect on what no longer serves you and to be intentional with where you place your energy. In grief, we face a choice: to let the memory of our loved one(s) guide and comfort us, or to let the pain consume us. It’s in that choice that growth and healing begin.

We all experience moments that forever change us and shift our perspective on life. I’ve experienced my own moments of disconnection, grief, and starting over, learning to trust myself and lean into my strengths along the way.

I believe we all can cultivate the confidence and resilience to navigate life’s transitions, whether it’s grief, loss of a relationship, or other major changes. Grief is not something to “get over.” It’s something to be witnessed, tended to, and carried in a way that feels lighter over time. Together we’ll work on how to navigate your loss you’re facing, whether it’s the loss of loved one, a relationship, or major life change.  Therapy can help you find support that is tailored to your unique cultural influences during these moments of grief.  Reach out to start therapy today so you can learn how to carry your memories with more ease and less pain.
