About Carla Juliana Carballo, LCMHC

Welcome and Bienvenidos! My name is Carla Carballo, and I am first generation Latina Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and National Board-Certified Counselor (NBCC). I am a graduate of Western North Carolina University.

I was born and raised in Ecuador. I moved to the USA, NC when I was 17 years old. Recently somebody asked me why I chose mental health as my profession, and as I thought about it I realized that my motivation comes from witnessing the impact mental illness can have on a loved one. It gave me a profound desire to contribute to a field where empathy, knowledge, and support truly matter.

I am the founder of Carla J Carballo Counseling services where I offer services in English and Spanish. In therapy, I meet you where you are in your journey and walk by your side in an environment without judgement. I use a trauma-informed, person-centered, holistic, culturally affirmative and strengths-based approach with an anti-oppressive and social justice lens.

I offer a space where you can explore and identify new paths that will lead you to a healthy relationship with yourself of love and respect, emotional growth, self-confidence, reparenting, and finally finding peace in your heart to enjoy your full self because you certainly DESERVE it.

Give yourself this opportunity, it would be an honor to work with you. Call or email me for a free consultation. One day at the time!
