Alejandra is a bilingual (English/Spanish) trauma therapist, supervisor, and speaker based in Austin, Texas. She brings extensive experience supporting individuals, couples, families, and clinicians navigating the impact of trauma, including domestic and sexual violence, systemic oppression, and culturally specific stressors.
Originally from El Salvador, Alejandra has worked for over six years in nonprofit settings serving survivors of domestic and sexual violence, with a strong focus on immigrant and Latinx/Hispanic communities. Her work is deeply informed by her lived experience, cultural humility, and a social justice–oriented, trauma-informed approach.
Alejandra is trained in EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and integrates evidence-based practices with culturally affirming care. As a supervisor, she supports emerging clinicians through a strengths-based, relational, and empowering lens, with a focus on ethical practice, sustainability, and professional growth.
As a speaker, Alejandra is known for creating warm, reflective, and engaging learning environments. Her topics include trauma-informed care, working with Latinx and bicultural populations, supporting survivors of violence, conducting immigration evaluations, clinician identity and resilience, and culturally responsive supervision.
