My name is Nora A. Rosales, M.A., APCC (APCC #20398), and I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Associate Professional Clinical Counselor serving clients in California. My work is deeply inspired by my lived experience as a first-generation Mexican American, a daughter of immigrants, and the eldest daughter who grew up navigating two worlds at the same time. I understand what it feels like to carry the weight of family expectations, to be “the strong one,” and to work hard to create a future that your parents once dreamed of but didn’t have the tools to reach.
My passion as a therapist comes from witnessing how much identity, culture, family dynamics, and unspoken expectations shape our emotional world. I believe healing happens when we feel seen — not only as individuals, but within our context: our family story, our faith, our history of sacrifice, and the values that shaped us.
I became a therapist because I know firsthand how isolating it can feel to be the first, the one who translates everything — from language to emotions. I know what it’s like to grow up quickly, to be the bridge between cultures, to feel responsible for everyone else, and to search for your own identity outside of the roles you’ve always held. My goal is to create a safe and culturally rooted space for people who don’t want to explain who they are — because I already understand it on a personal level.
Who I Work With
I specialize in supporting:
If you grew up hearing “échale ganas,” while silently battling self-doubt… if you are the person everyone turns to but you have nowhere to let your guard down… if you constantly feel like you have to be strong, accomplished, or “perfect” to be worthy — you are not alone, and you belong here.
