Dígame, if you’re looking to talk about life, stress, or hoping to work through life goals you want to reach and need motivation to take the leap. Dígame if you’re looking to focus on your mental health, heal from traumas, and/or break intergenerational cycles. Dígame about your nervios/anxiety, el susto/trauma, or cuando te pusistes mal/depression. Let’s translate buenestar and mental health into our inherent rights as defined by you. I use a Person Centered, Culturally Driven approach; Decolonizing our minds, hearts, and behaviors to break cycles and barriers
I’m Dr. Robin Alfaro, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and educator from South Central L.A. My work centers on helping people understand how shame, trauma, and identity shape the way we show up in our lives. In session, we focus on how so much of what we call “mental health issues”: anxiety, depression, perfectionism, people-pleasing, are actually survival responses to systems that taught us to shrink: colonization, patriarchy, racism, capitalism, and family patterns we never chose.
In therapy, I support adults navigating relational trauma, internalized stigma, first-gen and immigrant stress, and the pressure to perform or “ponerte las pilas.” My approach blends somatic healing, nervous system education, and culturally rooted reflection so people can separate who they really are from the stories they were given.
As a speaker, I create real, accessible conversations about shame, trauma, and emotional liberation. My goal is always the same: to help people feel seen, supported, and empowered to reclaim their voice, sin pena.
