Cultural Identities

About Dr. Charmaine Mora-Ozuna, Licensed Psychologist

Hola, I’m Dr. Charmaine Mora-Ozuna (She/Her/Ella), a bilingual and bicultural psychologist proudly de raíces Mexicanas. I specialize in supporting women healing from trauma, whether rooted in childhood experiences, generational family patterns, domestic violence, or the quieter struggles we carry in silence.

I don’t believe que calladita te ves más bonita. I’m passionate about helping you reclaim your voice and your story. I work closely with high-achieving and first-generation individuals navigating professional goals, family expectations, and the desire to honor their cultural identity without losing themselves in the process.

My approach is grounded in Liberation Psychology and a Mujerista framework. I view healing as both personal and collective, understanding that our struggles are shaped not only by individual experiences but also by family, culture, and systemic pressures. Rather than seeing challenges as personal failures, we explore how your environment and lived experiences have shaped your coping and how you can reconnect with your strength and wisdom. I center culture, authenticity, and joy as essential parts of healing. Many of us were taught to be strong and self-sacrificing, but true strength also includes vulnerability, rest, and receiving care.

I welcome people from diverse identities and lived experiences. In our work, you don’t have to leave parts of yourself at the door. You’re invited to bring your full self: your language, culture, humor, strength, and even the parts you’re still discovering.

My goal is to help you reconnect with your inner wisdom, reclaim your voice, and create a life rooted in meaning, connection, and joy. If you’re ready to begin, or simply curious, I’m here to support you. You deserve care that honors your story.

I am am licensed in Georgia and authorized by PSYPACT to provide virtual therapy in 43+ participating states.
