Hi, I’m Iván Medina (he/they/él), a first-generation Mexican American bilingual therapist dedicated to fostering healing and connection. My journey as a child of immigrants and a firstborn, often holding space for others’ needs, has deeply informed my understanding of intergenerational experiences and the profound impact of being truly heard and loved. Through perseverance and community advocacy, I’ve found my way back to help others navigate their paths toward personal well-being and transformation.
I provide compassionate services for children, teens, adults, and elders, creating a supportive environment to explore the interplay between your inner experiences and your relationships. My focus areas include identity development, neurodivergence, and alleviating anxious and depressive symptoms, always with an eye toward fostering deeper connection to self and others.
Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches, I help you uncover the power of your personal narrative. We’ll work together to identify and move beyond internal and external barriers, collaborating with you to embrace dynamic and fluid states of being. When navigating sensitive or traumatic events, your safety and support are my utmost priorities, ensuring you feel truly accompanied on your journey.
Contact me for a free 15-minute consultation. I offer hybrid services (in-person and online) throughout California and accept Blue Shield, Cigna, and Magellan insurance.
I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT#147693) under the supervision of Jason Stringer, LMFT #133760.
