¡Hola! I’m Cristina and I am a bilingual, trauma-specialized therapist who has worked primarily with BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+ communities, immigrants, asylum seekers, domestic violence survivors, and those navigating grief/loss. I enjoy supporting clients in learning or re-learning to trust their own bodies and lean into their ancestral knowledge and intuition. I help clients identify the ways in which grief, trauma, or pain might be showing up in their bodies and minds, then work together to understand, cope, or heal.
I approach therapy through a liberative, de-colonial and anti-oppressive lens that takes into account how various systems impact the lives of clients and their communities. This can look like exploring the impact of holding intersecting identities or strategizing together around what it looks like to find healing, joy, and connection in a chaotic world.
I am eclectic in my treatment approaches, knowing not one size fits all. Our sessions may incorporate grounding techniques, mindfulness meditations, art, music, or your own spiritual practices. Above all, my hope would be for you to find a safe place to land and someone to bear witness to and accompany you through your healing journey.
