Hi, I’m Jennalee Giraldo, LMHC, a bilingual Latinx therapist in Florida offering online therapy in English and Spanish. I help millennials, immigrants, and trauma survivors navigate life transitions, heal emotional wounds, and build healthier ways of coping.
I know firsthand how hard it can feel to juggle multiple identities, expectations, and cultures. As a first-generation Latina and daughter of immigrants, I grew up witnessing the silent weight of generational trauma and the pressure of living between two worlds. This lived experience drives my passion for helping others who face similar struggles, whether it is learning how to set boundaries with family, carrying the pressure of being the strong one, or feeling torn between cultural values and personal goals.
In therapy, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Client-Centered Therapy to create a safe and supportive space where you can explore your story without judgment. My style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I believe you are the expert on your life, and I am here to guide you in uncovering new perspectives and strategies. Together, we will challenge unhelpful thought patterns, strengthen coping skills, and build confidence so that you can thrive.
I specialize in supporting Latinx individuals navigating identity, culture, and family dynamics, immigrants and first-generation adults balancing two worlds, millennials and young adults facing anxiety, depression, relationship stress, or career uncertainty, and trauma survivors working to heal from the past while moving toward a healthier future.
Common issues I help with include anxiety and stress management, depression and feelings of disconnection, trauma and childhood wounds, family conflict, boundaries, and cultural expectations, bicultural identity struggles and acculturation stress, as well as life transitions and young adult challenges.
As a bilingual therapist, I provide sessions in both Spanish and English, allowing you to process your emotions in the language that feels most natural to you. Many of my clients appreciate being able to switch between languages or use Spanglish, because therapy should feel like it fits you, not the other way around.
My mission is to help you move from just surviving to truly thriving. Healing is not about erasing the past. It is about breaking cycles, finding your voice, and creating the kind of future you want for yourself and the generations that follow. Therapy with me is not about quick fixes or judgment. It is about being seen, understood, and equipped with tools that you can carry forward into your daily life.
I understand that reaching out for therapy takes courage, especially if mental health was not talked about in your family or community. But you do not have to carry everything alone. Together, we will create a supportive and empowering space for you to heal, grow, and find balance.
If you are looking for a Spanish-speaking therapist in Florida, or an online Latinx counselor who specializes in trauma, anxiety, and immigrant experiences, I would love to support you on your journey.
Jennalee Giraldo, LMHC
