Cultural Identities

About Nina Arroyo Santiago, LICSW

As a bilingual social worker from Puerto Rico, I offer therapy in English and Spanish for children, teens, and young adults. I know how important it is to feel understood and supported in the language and style that feels most natural to you. I use a patient-centered, trauma-focused, culturally competent approach to create a safe, welcoming space where you can explore emotions, build strengths, and feel truly heard. My experience includes working in schools with middle and high school students, as well as in medical settings with children, teens, and young adults.

My specialties include working with depression, anxiety, chronic illness, suicidality, self-harm, self-esteem challenges, and LGBTQ+ issues. I understand the unique stressors young people face, and I offer tools and strategies to help them navigate these challenges while building resilience, coping skills, and a stronger sense of self.

Reaching out can feel difficult, but you don’t have to do this alone. Everyone deserves to feel heard and supported. Whether you’re a parent seeking help for your child or a young person looking for guidance, I would be honored to support you!
