¡Hola!
Hi! I’m Haydeelin Martinez de Jesus, a Licensed Social Worker (LSW), proudly Boricua and Afrolatina. My practice is built on a strong academic foundation, including a Bachelor of Arts from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico and a Master of Clinical Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. This training is informed by a specialization in the mental health of immigrants, asylum seekers, and refugees, which compels me to apply all evidence-based practices through a decolonial lens that prioritizes lived experiences and community wisdom.
My journey has taken me from the vibrant streets of Puerto Rico to the heart of Pennsylvania, an experience that gave me a deep understanding of what it means to navigate between cultures, languages, and identities. My work as a therapist is born from my passion for authentic connection and individuals and community wellness; I don’t believe in ‘fixing’ people, but in collaborating with you to discover your inner strength and create the life you deserve. I operate from an intersectional lens, recognizing that your well-being is shaped by multiple identities and systems of power. My approach is grounded in trauma-informed principles and a strengths-based framework, always working from a place of humility and collaboration.
My goal is to create a safe space where we can calm your anxious mind and find stillness. I also support you in healing your relationship with your body and liberating yourself from the pressure of external beauty ideals. We’ll work to strengthen your bonds by learning to set healthy boundaries and, when necessary, repair and rebuild important relationships, allowing you to navigate major life transitions without losing sight of yourself. My therapy is a culturally sensitive and affirming space for all. If you are managing anxiety or simply looking for a place to be yourself without judgment, I am here to walk alongside you.
