Hello! My name is Selah Israel, LCSW, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Texas and Arizona. With over 13 years of clinical experience, I have dedicated my career to providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and faith-sensitive care for women, children, and families navigating life’s most challenging seasons.
As the founder of Twelve Royal Gems Women’s Mental Health, my mission is to create a safe and affirming space where healing is possible. I believe that true emotional wellness begins with feeling fully seen, understood, and valued. My practice specializes in supporting women and girls who are experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, attachment wounds, and complex life transitions.
I have extensive experience working with refugee populations and unaccompanied minors, as well as individuals who have experienced family separation due to immigration policies and survivors of trafficking. These experiences have shaped my deeply empathetic and holistic approach, allowing me to meet each client with compassion and cultural sensitivity.
As a bilingual therapist (English/Spanish), I understand the importance of language and culture in the healing process. For many individuals and families, cultural identity plays a significant role in how they view mental health, seek support, and process experiences. Because of this, I integrate culturally rooted perspectives and strengths-based practices into each session. My goal is to honor your unique background and values while helping you develop practical tools for resilience and emotional restoration.
Therapy with me is collaborative, empowering, and tailored to your needs. I primarily draw from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-based practices. Together, we will work to address the underlying causes of emotional pain, build coping strategies, and restore balance in your daily life.
In addition to individual therapy, Twelve Royal Gems offers community-based support groups and mental health awareness events, providing opportunities for connection, growth, and education. We are committed to breaking the stigma around mental health—particularly in communities of color—by fostering conversations that normalize seeking help and prioritizing emotional wellness.
I also provide immigration mental health evaluations for individuals and families navigating the legal immigration process. These assessments are conducted with the utmost sensitivity and respect, ensuring that each person’s story is heard and documented with care.
As a therapist and a mother, I deeply understand the complexities of balancing multiple roles and responsibilities. This personal insight fuels my passion for helping clients create sustainable rhythms of self-care, strengthen their relationships, and reconnect with their inner strength and purpose.
If you choose to work with me, you can expect a warm, non-judgmental environment where your voice matters. I believe in your ability to heal and thrive, no matter how heavy the circumstances may feel right now. My role is to walk alongside you, offering clinical expertise, encouragement, and strategies that honor your values and goals.
At Twelve Royal Gems: Women’s Mental Health, you are not just another client—you are a whole person with unique strengths and potential. Whether you are seeking therapy for yourself, support for your family, or an evaluation as part of your immigration case, it is my privilege to support you in this journey.
If you are ready to take the next step toward healing, I would be honored to connect with you.
