Hola! As a first-gen Latinx therapist- I hear you. Navigating life as an immigrant or as part of a multicultural first or second-generation Latinx family can feel like living between worlds -holding deep cultural roots while also learning to bloom in new soil. You might carry the unspoken stories of your parents, the pressure to succeed, or the guilt of creating your own path and identity. Maybe you’re fluent in more than one language but still searching for the words to describe your own experience. My practice is for the bicultural/multicultural soul, the code-switcher, the cycle-breaker. I strongly believe that being multicultural or an adult children of immigrant parents doesn’t mean having to choose one culture or tradition over another. Instead, we can honor where we come from while creating something new by blending identities, values, and experiences into a vibrant and meaningful life. You deserve a therapist who gets it- who sees all of you, not just the parts the world wants to understand or accept. Let’s explore and find that person, together.
