Maira M. Hernández is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in CA, OR, UT, TX, and holds telehealth licenses in ID, and FL. She has over a decade of experience providing bilingual counseling services to individuals, children, couples, and families in both nonprofit and private practice settings. Her work has been pivotal in rural communities, collaborating with school districts, social services, and government agencies to address diverse mental health needs.
Educator & Mentor
Maira has served as part-time faculty in the Counselor Education Department at Fresno State since 2014, mentoring and supervising future counselors. She has also taught in the Counseling Department at Fresno City College, sharing her knowledge and passion for mental health with aspiring professionals.
Community Engagement
Her commitment to community education is evident through numerous psycho-educational workshops partnering with notable organizations in California such as the Mexican Consulate of Fresno, Binational of California, and United We Lead Foundation. She also has appeared on local television and radio discussing mental health topics.
