Born and raised in the vibrant city of San Juan, Puerto Rico, I’ve always felt a deep connection to my community and a calling to help others. My journey into social work began with a desire to support children and adolescents who often face unique emotional, developmental, and social challenges. I earned a degree in Special Education from the University of Puerto Rico and later pursued a Master’s in Social Work at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras campus. These experiences provided me with a strong foundation in both education and mental health, and helped shape my mission to serve individuals and families with compassion and integrity.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with youth and individuals from diverse backgrounds, offering support during critical life moments. I use a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, client-centered therapy, mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, and crisis intervention. My practice is personalized and holistic, designed to meet the unique needs and goals of each client. Whether I am helping a teenager manage anxiety or guiding someone through trauma recovery, I am committed to fostering resilience, insight, and lasting personal growth.
Being bilingual in English and Spanish has been a key asset in my work, allowing me to connect with a wide range of clients and offer culturally sensitive care. I believe that therapy should be a safe and inclusive space where everyone feels heard, understood, and empowered. At the heart of my practice is a deep respect for each person’s journey and a belief in their capacity to heal and grow. I am honored to walk alongside my clients, supporting them through challenges and celebrating their progress every step of the way.
