About The Online Virtual Counselors

We are an online based counseling agency, providing individual, couple’s and family therapy. We currently have two Latina therapists, who provide bilingual services. We are currently providing services in NY, NJ, CT, MA, DC, MD, VA and FL. RAQUEL Raquel Martinez is an LMSW specializing in creating a compassionate, non-judgmental, and empathetic space for clients who want to create a more fulfilling life. Raquel helps clients regulate emotions, stop destructive behavior patterns, and make the life of their dreams. She has over 15 years of experience working in the mental health field in various clinical settings. Raquel has extensive experience treating people with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and other severe mental health conditions. She works with domestic violence victims in group and individual settings to establish life skills and strategies for improving self-esteem, self-confidence, personal growth, and independence. As an immigrant herself, Raquel has a unique skill set for helping those struggling with cultural adaptations and the stress of creating a life in a new country. Raquel has extensive experience helping clients develop skills that help them find employment and financial independence. At the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital in New York, Raquel worked in the WeCARE program. She guided individuals with disabilities who received public assistance in vocational rehabilitation to return to employment. Raquel has extensive experience working with children in adoption and foster care, hospital, school, and in-home settings. She’s skilled at providing children and families with de-escalation strategies and other mental health needs. In her work with addiction clients, Raquel uses a variety of strategies to help people maintain sobriety. She guides them to recognize their triggers and helps uncover more profound trauma that leads to addiction. Raquel uses a variety of strategies with her clients, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, relaxation, focus, job skills, family therapy, educational therapy, life skill building, talk therapy, rational therapy, and role-playing. When working with clients, Raquel’s goal is to empower each person to build self-esteem, gain independence, and regulate emotions to create the life they deserve. Raquel offers individualized support to each client so they can reach her goals. Raquel is fluent in English and Spanish.
