I'm a lesbian Xicana, born and raised in the borderland region of El Paso, TX. I offer a therapeutic space that is queer-affirming, culturally responsive, and liberation-centered. As a therapist, I create a curious, compassionate, and non-judgmental space for those who are ready to explore themselves and their experiences through a relational lens. Together, we will explore and model what secure attachment and safe relationships feel like within the therapeutic space - toward ourselves, our experiences, our communities, our ancestors, and the natural/spiritual world. With an integrative approach, I weave ancestral practices, somatic embodiment, and expressive art therapeutic techniques to explore and transform the relationship you have with your shame, anger/rage, fear, and grief towards deep compassion, liberation, and connection. We will intentionally explore and challenge the impact of colonial legacies and how intergenerational trauma affects your overall health and well-being. We will honor how your own lived experiences and identities influence the connection between your mind, body, and spirit. I will encourage you to self-determine your own healing process and co-create solutions that align with your authentic self. Currently, I offer in-person services in San Marcos, TX with Lavender Space, Inc. and remote services throughout Texas. Lavender Space, Inc. specializes in providing informed and relevant best practices for the LGBTQIA+ community. This practice prioritizes authenticity, individuality, and accessibility. We are focused on providing quality, financially accessible, trauma-informed care to the greater San Marcos community. We are dedicated to addressing the systems of oppression through our work and by increasing accessibility to mental health treatment to the community. We prioritize inclusivity in services the practice provides by seeking out relevant training, using person centered approach, and applying cultural humility.
