Welcome/ Bienvenidos! My name is Melissa and I am a registered psychotherapist. I received my B.A. from California State, Northridge in psychology with a minor in gender and women studies. I then went on to pursue my M.A. at Pepperdine University where I received my degree in clinical psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy.

In my practice, I  believe in providing quality mental health care to everyone regardless of race, color, gender, or economic status, while also being culturally competent. I am fluent in both English and Spanish. I take pride in being a First-Generation Latina who went on to pursue higher education which makes me passionate about helping others who are also first generation. I enjoy working with young adults who are looking to learn more about themselves and their path to a healthy and happy life. I am dedicated to creating a safe and judgment-free environment and helping individuals find peace, heal their inner child and past traumas. I specialize in working with teens, adults, families, and couples. Depending on a persons needs, I like to use a holistic and mindfulness approach while integrating different therapeutic modalities including CBT, Psychodynamic, Family Systems, The Gottman Method, and Somatic Therapy. I also have experience in working with trauma, grief, anxiety and depression disorders, PTSD, mood disorders, and ADHD.
