Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Heart-Centered Hypnotherapist.  I was born and raised in New York City and live in New Jersey, currently licensed to practice in both states. I feel very much connected to my cultural identity as a Latina, born and raised in NYC with Puerto Rican roots.  Including your cultural identity in your process can be an integral part of your healing journey. Some of my specialties include working through family of origin related experiences, inner child healing, trauma, grief, cultural identity, life transitions and maternal mental health.

At times, the residual effects of your childhood experiences may show up later in life.  Some of these experiences may have included various forms of abuse, trauma or your individual needs were not met by your caretakers. As an adult, you may reflect on your current relationships, including the relationship with yourself.  Therapy can offer the opportunity for inner healing and shifting to occur as you continue to make these connections for yourself. It is my intention to assist you in identifying and healing those deeper wounds you may still be carrying. These wounds or needs that weren’t met may be contributing to you feeling "stuck" or repeating patterns that no longer serve you. These behaviors can also show up in your present life as low self esteem, people pleasing and perfectionism. Together, we can identify some of your patterns, assist in managing your emotions, identify their roots and process your experiences with the purpose of healing.

I offer a holistic psychotherapeutic approach, which empowers you to grow and transform your mind, body and soul.  I believe in order for true healing to occur, we need to look at the impact that our experiences have made on our whole self. I utilize a combination of traditional talk psychotherapy as well as a variety of ways to access your subconscious, such as tapping into your Inner Child in order to access the root of your current struggles.  Together, we can collaborate to determine which approaches may work best for you.  As your therapist, I bring an interactive style. I can provide you feedback, support you, and challenge you with compassion to help you grow in your process.
