About

Hello! I completed my doctorate degree in clinical-community psychology at the University of La Verne. It is because of this educational focus on clinical-community psychology that I especially consider the way a person’s various multicultural factors intersect within their lives and the therapy room. I work with adult individuals and couples using primarily CBT and ACT to explore the thoughts, physical sensations, or behaviors that might be causing us distress. I also received additional training in trauma-focused therapies through the VA to help individuals who may have experienced traumatic or abusive events. Despite my foundations in cognitive behavioral therapy, I do not ascribe to a “one size fits all” method of psychotherapy. I use my training in various therapeutic modalities including feminist therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing and interpersonal therapy to find the best approach to help you with your concerns. I provide services in both English and Spanish.
