About Margarita Herrera

Hello! My name is Margarita Herrera. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Texas and am passionate about helping people feel more connected, empowered, and aligned with their true selves. As a bilingual therapist, I provide services in both English and Spanish, ensuring that language is never a barrier to healing or connection.

I earned my Master of Science degree in Psychology with a specialty in Marriage and Family Therapy from Our Lady of the Lake University in Texas. I’m also certified in Gottman Level One, a research-based approach to helping couples strengthen communication, deepen connection, and navigate conflict in healthy ways.

I find it meaningful to support people from all backgrounds and experiences, but I especially love supporting teens and young adults as they navigate identity, transitions, and personal growth. No matter where you are on your journey, I strive to meet you with empathy, curiosity, and respect.

My approach is collaborative, I believe you are the expert of your own life. I’m here to support you in exploring your strengths, working through challenges, and helping you move toward the life you want. Together, we create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can show up fully and honestly, just as you are.

I work with adults, teens, and couples navigating a range of challenges including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, relationship struggles, and life transitions. My goal is to help you build self-awareness, strengthen emotional regulation, and reconnect with your sense of purpose and self-worth.

I bring compassion, experience, and authenticity into the room — and I genuinely care about the people I work with. Therapy with me is a space where your voice matters, and where your healing and growth are honored every step of the way.

Outside of the therapy space, I enjoy spending time with my son, practicing self-care, diving into a good book, and yes — I’m a loyal fan of Bravo’s Housewives!

If you’re ready to take that next step, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. Let’s connect.
