About Lina Vega, MA, LPC

Cultural Identities:  Latina – Colombian

I was born in Colombia, South America, and came to the US in 2001. I received my degree in counseling in 2019 and got my license in 2024. I provide trauma therapy and worked for almost five years with victims of crimes, including immigrants who experienced domestic and sexual violence and survivors of homicide.

We all face situations that leave us confused and unsure about what to do. Those situations can often generate painful emotions. The lack of healthy coping strategies and/or difficulty changing things that no longer serve us can make us feel like we’re not proactive. If this sounds familiar and you are facing struggles interfering with your desire to live a meaningful life, I am here to walk that difficult path with you.

We all have strengths and abilities, growth potential, and the capacity to live the life we want. Cultivating self-awareness assists us in acknowledging negative thoughts and unhealthy behavioral patterns, facilitating self-acceptance and change.

I work with adolescents and adults. My approach includes humanistic, existential, behavioral therapy, and mindfulness practices. As a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor (Spanish/English) and a trauma and culturally informed clinician, I can offer new perspectives and provide information to help you move forward. I am aware of how trauma impacts various aspects of life and the cultural factors that shape each person’s experiences. I will be your partner by offering you the unwavering support you need to write your new life story.

Identidades Culturales: Latina – Colombiana
