About

My therapeutic approach centers around compassion and empathy for my patients. I feel everyone deserves a place where they may explore, process, and question their ideas, emotions, and life challenges without fear of being judged. We will work together to empower you to overcome challenges, build resilience, and experience personal growth by integrating evidence-based therapies with customized interventions based on your needs. I draw from DBT, CBT, ACT, mindfulness, psychodynamic theory, Indigenous Theory, Internal Family Systems, narrative theory, poetry and music therapies, play therapy, and multicultural competencies to help patients explore their struggles. I also encourage patients to explore their spiritual side, incorporating this often neglected aspect of their life into our work, in a more holistic approach that centers the entirety of the person. Together, through holding space for the whole of your experience, we will discover the path towards wholeness, healing, and growth. I provide bilingual services for individuals, couples, and groups, in English and Spanish.I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, along with certifications in Trauma informed care from Professional Education Systems Institute's Trauma Competency Conference with Dr. J. Eric Gentry, Motivational Interviewing (MI) Training & Technical Assistance Program at The Training and Practice Implementation Institute (TPII), Treating Severe Trauma with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) by Karol Darsa, Psy.D, and Integrated Mental Health Addictions Treatment Training (IMHATT) Certificate Center for Practice Innovations. Along with those certifications, I have trained in issues impacting the military community, human trafficking survivors, intimate partner violence survivors, neurodivergent communities, Native and First Nations communities, and explored topics related to psychedelic therapy, intimate partner violence, and nutrition and mental health. Maintaining up to date information on a variety of topics that impact various communities to better understand different backgrounds and experiences is important to my continuous professional development. I specialize in individuals living with depression, anxiety, PTSD, CPTSD, dissociative disorders, borderline personality disorder, life transitions, work-life balance issues, parenting issues, women’s issues, interpersonal struggles, creative difficulties, anger management, pregnancy loss, eating disorders, sleep disorders, Veteran’s issues, chronic health issues, school challenges, and substance use.
