Cultural Identities

About Karla Diaz, LPCC

As a bilingual counselor trained in mindfulness and somatic therapy, I understand the transformative power of the therapeutic relationship. It creates a safe space to rebuild trust and access the inner resources needed to approach life’s challenges with confidence and resilience.

I specialize in working with Spanish-speaking immigrants, first-generation Americans, and individuals dealing with C-PTSD, self-esteem, and identity issues. My warm, culturally sensitive approach honors the wisdom and resilience clients bring to their healing journey.

Using Hakomi, Gestalt, and somatic techniques, I help clients unravel emotional and physical patterns, reconnect with their strengths, and develop a more integrated sense of self. Together, we transform disconnection into growth and deeper connections with themselves and others.

Additionally, I’m inspired by the intersection of altered states of consciousness, spiritual emergence, and therapy, which informs my work with individuals navigating profound experiences or personal transformation.
