Hi there - I want to start by honoring your commitment to yourself as I recognize that therapy can feel intimidating and the process in finding the right fit can sometimes feel discouraging. If you are here, it's possible your family may not have had the tools to teach you how to understand your emotions and nurture your mental health. As a first generation Mexican-American daughter, I have lived experience with intergenerational trauma and I am passionate about supporting the Latinx community.I believe that the therapeutic relationship can be a powerful tool in learning more about yourself in a warm and compassionate space.

While the heavy and uncomfortable parts of therapy are necessary, I also enjoy incorporating humor and lightheartedness as we navigate through your experiences together. I believe that as humans we are shaped by our relationships, beginning with the relationship we had with our primary caregivers, where we begin to develop our sense of self and attachment.

We can use this information to get to the root of our pain and begin to understand ourselves, notice patterns, and make changes in our lives. The past informs us but it does not define us. I hope that the therapeutic space can be one that plays a part in your healing as we do not heal in isolation, we heal in relationship and community.
