Jennifer León Salinas (She/Her/Ella) was born in Michoacán, Mexico, and immigrated with her parents at the early age of five. Since then, Jennifer has lived in both Northern and Southern California and has had to navigate the educational system as an undocumented student, AB-540 beneficiary, and currently as a DACA recipient. Jennifer holds a B.A. in Psychology from San Francisco State University and M.S. in Counseling Psychology with a bilingual emphasis from Mount Saint Mary’s University. Currently, Jennifer is a bilingual, trauma-focused Associate Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in working with young adults, college students, undocumented/immigrant individuals, therapy first-timers, and Latinx/e families. Jennifer encourages exploring trauma through a liberation-focused and social justice lens further welcoming ancestral wisdom, community resourcing, and intergenerational work within the therapeutic relationship. Jennifer hopes to provide the undocumented community the mental health resources, support, and community in order to reach their highest potential.
