Hi! My Name is Iviana Jimenez, I work in community mental health in southern California. I’ve had the privilege of working in the field of mental health and wellbeing for over 10 years.  I specialize in trauma, inner child work, grief, heartbreak, depression, anxiety, stress around career or life milestones. I practice a strength based approach and believe healing and processing to be a holistic journey.

A little about me I was born in Sinaloa, Mexico. I arrived to California in the late 80's, I was raised by a single mother.  As a first generation I experienced many of the common challenges associated with immigration status, poverty, navigating language identity and cultural divides. My undergraduate degree is in Chicana/o Studies and my Masters in Social Work. I am now a mother of two, we are a blended family who navigates parenting and co-parenting.  I love plants, crystals and candles. I enjoy nature and seek healing through our ancestral practices. I find joy in spending time with loved ones, I like reading, listening to music and going out to the occasional cumbia night. I bring my authentic self to sessions incorporating humor, metaphors, dichos, and culture. You bring your whole self too; we will meet where you are. If what you seek is a nonjudgmental, empathetic, and compassionate space to process, learn, heal, and grow, you have found it. Iviana Jimenez, LCSW (562)682-0522
