About

Hanaro Therapy comes from the idea that togetherness and relationship are integral to the mental health healing process; hanaro means "as one" in the Korean language. I am convinced that true and lasting healing, whether it is for mental/emotional health, physical health, or even spiritual health, does not occur in isolation or outside of the context of relationship. My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe relationship where my clients can experience the healing power of journeying together with someone committed to your best through even the most challenging seasons of life. I view the therapeutic relationship as an equal partnership as we work together towards the fulfillment of your personal and relational goals. I work from a trauma-informed approach and am level 3 trained in Brainspotting, a focused-mindfulness-body-based trauma healing intervention that supports people to heal from traumatic experiences and engage in expansion work for improvement in quality of life. In our work together, I will focus on cultivating your strengths while addressing the areas of healing and growth you have chosen as your therapy goals. Hannah Lee, MA, MSW, LCSW (213)542-0730
