I'm Gabi, founder of Imagine Therapy (CA)!

One day I heard my 3-year-old son say "Mama, imagine you're at a beach and feeling the sand on your toes. There's sun in the sky. Breath in and breath out". He was actually LEADING me through a relaxation exercise. At age 3! I couldn't believe it.

I wondered, Wow, how did this happen? Well, long story short, it took years of mom (me!) healing herself -- therapy, self care, practicing what I preach...

I began to understand what can happen when the parent is restored. Not only can the parent feel better but the kid can gain so much from the parent getting care and support. This is exactly why I founded Imagine Therapy (California) -- a place to heal the parents and be able to pass the skills forward to the people around them.

• I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
• I have additional specialized training in perinatal mental health, PMH-C, (includes pregnancy, postpartum, pregnancy loss, infant loss, birth trauma, etcetera) through PSI
• I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based treatment for trauma
• I'm a proud Latina and can also provide therapy in Spanish, or Spanglish...
• I am also a certified yoga teacher
• I completed my undergraduate and graduate school at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD
• I offer LGBTQIA+ affirming support
