My journey into the perinatal world began as an early childhood educator, where I witnessed the profound emotional and psychological transformations that come with parenthood. This experience ignited my passion for supporting families, prompting me to complete doula training in 2021. While working as a doula, I recognized a desire to deepen my connection with clients, leading me to pursue a Master of Social Work (MSW) with a focus on Child, Youth, and Families, which I completed in 2024.
Combining my clinical expertise with my perinatal experience, I provide trauma-informed, holistic support to families navigating pregnancy, postpartum challenges, infant loss, infant feeding difficulties and the emotional complexities of new parenthood. I am deeply committed to fostering meaningful, supportive connections between parents, their children and their community.
I also have a strong research interest in gender-based violence, particularly its intersection with mental health and perinatal experiences. My research on intimate partner violence has been presented at national conferences, where I seek to bridge academic insights with practical, on-the-ground support.
Through my work as a doula, social worker, and researcher, I am dedicated to empowering parents to navigate the perinatal journey with compassion, understanding, and clinical expertise.
