Dr. Schiffner is a Latinx licensed counseling psychologist who has been practicing since 2008. She offers virtual therapy to clients in Florida, North Carolina and Rhode Island. Dr. Schiffner provides culturally inclusive, empowerment and compassion-based psychotherapy focused on heart healing. She offers individual therapy to adults and older adults (i.e., seniors), psychological assessment to Veterans, clinical consultations, teaching, supervision and trainings. Dr. Schiffner specializes in working with diverse client populations and utilizes relational theories combined with cognitive-behavioral, strengths-based, solution focused, sex positivity and mindfulness/compassion-based approaches to help clients with an array of issues to include: relationship difficulties, adjustment issues, chronic health and pain concerns, and life transitions. Inherent in Dr. Schiffner’s work as a psychologist is an emphasis on trauma-informed holistic approaches that honor the interconnectedness of mind, body and spirit to promote an empowered sense of wellbeing and life satisfaction.
