About Dr. Richie Koenig, PsyD - Psychologist and Life Coach

Dr. Koenig is a Peruvian-American psychologist and life coach based in San Diego, CA. His approach to therapy is neurodiverse and queer affirming, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive; he centers psychodynamic, multicultural, somatic, and relational modalities that are continuously integrated with the instrumental features of evidence-based tools from CBT and DBT. Dr. Koenig is devoted to providing his patients with an integrative and holistic therapeutic space that is crafted by his intersectional identities, his clinical and academic experiences, and his passion for learning new evidence-based techniques to alleviate emotional pain. Dr. Koenig utilizes both theory and research to serve his patients, and is driven by the growth that his clients unwittingly express in each psychotherapy session; he strives to continuously remind his patients of the ever-present healing potential that is in each and every one of them.
