As a Southern Californian raised Latina and first generation college student, I absolutely understand the impact that culture plays on our everyday lives. I have dedicated myself to serve diverse communities embodying my dad’s words: “Mija, never forget where you came from or the people you represent because they made you who you are.” I specialize in addressing trauma, depression, and anxiety concerns related to challenging life transitions related to identity development, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, career decisions, and self-esteem. I have extensive experience working with military members (i.e. active duty, Veterans, & their families), professionals, students, and People of Color as a San Diego based Psychologist providing teletherapy throughout California. Previous clients have said that my collaborative, empowering, and genuine therapeutic approach has helped them reach their goals.
