About

(Now Accepting New Clients) ¡Hola! I’m Dra. Laura Preciado, a bilingual and bicultural Licensed Psychologist. I specialize in providing online therapy for individuals and couples. My passion for helping the Latinx community comes from my own experiences growing up in a first-generation immigrant family. I know firsthand the unique challenges that come with navigating two cultures, and I’m here to support you in understanding yourself, finding balance, and growing in the process.

One of my specialties is treating trauma using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). If you’ve experienced past trauma or difficult life events that still impact you today, EMDR can be a powerful tool for healing. I’m trained in this approach, and I’ve seen firsthand how it can help individuals process their experiences, reduce emotional distress, and move forward with greater resilience.

I understand the complexities that come with being first-generation—balancing your family’s expectations with your personal dreams and goals. In therapy, I’m committed to creating a space where you feel heard, valued, and empowered to show up as your full self. Whether you’re managing work-life stress, navigating identity questions, healing from trauma, or simply need a safe space to talk, I’m here for it all.

I aim to make therapy feel like a conversation with someone who genuinely cares about you, not just as a professional but as a human who truly understands the nuances of your experience. Together, we can explore what's been holding you back, uncover the patterns that no longer serve you, and help you move forward in a way that aligns with your values.

If you’re ready to start your journey toward healing and growth, reach out for an initial consultation. We can chat about how we’d work together and whether it feels like a good fit. Your well-being matters, and I’m here to walk with you every step of the way.
