About Dr. L. Xochitl Vallejos, Ph.D., LPC,

Liberation Psychologist & Revolutionary Relationship Therapist

¡Bienvenidos! I’m Xochitl Vallejos (she/her/ella), a Latinx therapist dedicated to healing, empowerment, and social transformation. My practice integrates liberation psychology, racial trauma recovery, and revolutionary approaches to relationships.

My Approach

I believe that personal healing and social change are deeply interconnected. My therapeutic approach is rooted in:

– **Liberation Psychology**: Addressing the psychological impacts of oppression and working towards individual and collective liberation.

– **Racial Trauma Recovery**: Healing the wounds of racism, colonialism, and intergenerational trauma.

– **Revolutionary Relationships**: Exploring how our personal connections can challenge oppressive systems and nurture social justice.

### How I Can Help

In our sessions, we’ll work together to:

1. Unpack and heal from racial trauma and microaggressions
2. Explore your cultural identity and strengthen your sense of self
3. Develop tools for resilience and empowerment
4. Examine how systemic oppression affects your personal relationships
5. Cultivate revolutionary love and solidarity in your connections
6. Align your relationships with your values and social justice goals

My Background

As a proud Latinx therapist, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to our work. With a Master’s in Counseling Psychology and a PhD in psychology,  I offer a unique blend of academic knowledge and cultural wisdom.

My research focuses on decolonizing therapy practices and the role of relationships in social movements. I’m committed to ongoing learning and growth, both personally and professionally.

Beyond my clinical work, I’m actively involved in grassroots organizations fighting for racial justice, LGBTQ+ rights, and immigrant rights. I believe in the power of community healing and regularly facilitate workshops on self-care for activists and building revolutionary relationships.

If you’re ready to embark on a journey of personal healing that connects to larger social change, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can explore how therapy can be a revolutionary act, transforming not just our inner worlds but the world around us.

*Sana, ama, libera – Heal, love, liberate*
