About

Daphne, (ella/she), works from a decolonized lens. She is from Borinken, learning to speak both Spanish and English fluently as the first-generation Latina that she is. In the therapy space Daphne acknowledges how the systems in place impact the day-to-day of marginalized people and she doesn’t shy away from naming racism, bigotry, and white supremacy when it inevitably shows up. She embraces a decolonized approach to therapy, understanding mental healthcare is also capable of causing harm to our communities.

Daphne holds a certificate in Latinx Leadership from Boston College School of Social Work, where she also completed her Master’s in Social Work. She currently has a focus in Eating Disorders within Black, brown & Indigenous communities. Daphne believes these communities have gone too long without being appropriately treated, as the inherently racist BMI makes it impossible to diagnose eating disorders outside the thin, white, cis-gendered body type. She also has experience in working with trauma disorders, depression, anxiety, and ADHD. Daphne is currently working with adult couples and individuals.
