I provide individual counseling to adults, specializing in anxiety, trauma, life transitions and prenatal/postpartum mental health.
As a Latina therapist and first-generation American, I’m sensitive to the unique challenges that Latines and children of immigrants face.
I offer bilingual Spanish/English sessions to clients whose primary language is English.
I received postgraduate psychotherapy training from the National Institute for the Psychotherapies and perinatal mental health training from Postpartum Support International. I’m also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (trauma therapist), designated by the International Association of Trauma Professionals.
With a holistic approach to psychotherapy, I integrate mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and psychodynamic therapy into my practice. I welcome discussions about the impact that our identities have on us, whether it has to do with race, religion, spirituality, ethnicity, sexuality, gender, or other identities.
I have a master’s degree in clinical social work from New York University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology (cum laude) from American University in Washington, D.C.
