Cultural Identities

About Audrey Moreno, AMFT #141738

I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles. I began my clinical training at Didi Hirsh — Via Avanta where I worked with women struggling with substance use disorder, mental illness, domestic violence, and poverty. After that, I continued my training at The Saturday Center in Santa Monica where we focused on providing the highest quality psychotherapy to the community at affordable fees and in a private practice setting. In both settings, my work focused on analyzing the relationship with the unconscious and conscious within each client in order to help facilitate expansion and agency in their lives. My psychodynamic approach is rooted in depth-psychology with a focus on helping others cultivate awareness within themselves. I aim to encourage and challenge clients to meet themselves throughout their work with kindness, love, curiosity, and devotion to self and treatment. I utilize a blend of therapeutic techniques that include inner child healing and reparenting in order to integrate all the parts of self. I am committed to a life-long journey of increased compassion for self and others and invite clients to do the same. In my commitment to life-long learning, I’ve pursued training in Brainspotting to assist my work.

I currently welcome in-person and remote sessions with individuals and couples in Pasadena, CA and in mid-city of Los Angeles. I am also fluent in Spanish (hablo español). As a first-generation Mexican-American and proud member of the Latinx community, I welcome working with clients interested in navigating their relationship to cultural and ethnic identity. I am LGBTQIA+ affirmative and welcome all clients of diverse gender, ethnic/cultural and sexual identities. I am under the supervision of  Mona Valeriano, MSW, LCSW Lic. No. 27612 and Vanessa Katz, PSY #22231You can see my full website here: https://www.audreymoreno.com/
