Amanda Muniz was born and raised in Bronx, NY. She is from a Dominican family; who raised her with cultural traditions and roots from the island. Amanda is also fluent in Spanish. She earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Daemen University and is now pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from National Louis University. Amanda is currently a College and Career Counselor at a high school where she helps her students secure scholarships, complete college and career applications. She supports students from diverse backgrounds and underserved communities to transition into post high school ventures. Amanda has worked with teens and young adults through their journey of exploring career options. In a clinical setting, Amanda enjoys utilizing a person-centered approach and she is committed to helping clients through self-exploration. She also enjoys implementing different techniques that best fits the clients needs. In her free time, Amanda likes to read books, crochet, and go on different adventures. She loves living in NYC because she gets to explore different areas and discover hidden gems! She loves to give back to her community by volunteering and cleaning up neighborhoods to keep them clean and safe for our community.
