About Alexa Gonzales, LCSW

Hi! I’m Alexa Gonzales! I support adults in building self esteem, trauma resilience, and navigating life transitions. As a fourth-generation Mexican- American, I have a unique perspective on the experiences of generations of latinos migrating to America and the impact on latino/a/x identities. As a therapist, I take a humanistic and holistic approach to guide clients in using their strengths as a guide to their healing. I use psycho-dynamic theory to explore early life experiences that are contributing to current life happenings, as I believe that our early life experiences are a catalyst to many of our thought processes and behavior patterns as we grow. I guide clients to increase their awareness of internal processes to support them in sustaining their healing during and after therapy. I strive to maintain an open space in therapy that allows for reciprocity between myself and clients to empower them to be the leaders in their healing journey. I recognize the value in clients feeling heard and understood in therapy and aim to maintain an open energy in session to support clients in being their most authentic selves. In working with me, you can expect to be validated in your feelings while simultaneously being challenged to explore areas of discomfort to encourage transformative healing. In the therapeutic process, I seek to support clients increasing feelings of acceptance towards themselves, their experiences, and in turn their healing process. Choosing to begin your healing journey is a difficult choice, reach out today to begin your course to holistic wellness!
