About

**ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS AGAIN** Hola. My name is Adriana Martínez (she/her) and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and founder of Tonalli Counseling and Wellness. Sometimes experiences in our childhood impact how, as adults, we show up (or not) for ourselves and others. When our past is present, in the absence of self-awareness, we might engage in unhealthy, self-sabotaging or dysfunctional patterns that no longer serve us, hold us back from our goals, and keep us painfully disconnected from ourselves. I use a gentle, empathetic, compassionate, collaborative, you-centered approach infused with warm humor to support you through deeply healing inner-work so you can lead a more full, authentic life worth living. I practice from the belief that we all have the innate gifts and capacities that allow us to heal and grow so we can make meaningful decisions and changes with clarity and intention— therapy is just one catalyst that can move us along that process. A little about me: I am a first generation immigrant from Mexico and speak fluent Spanish.  It is my priority to offer culturally responsive, social justice oriented, LGBTQ+ affirming therapy services that center on the unique needs of each client and celebrates all abilities, bodies, ages, ethnic, gender, and sexual identities.
