Ruthie Duran Deffley is a licensed clinical social worker and mental health expert with over 15 years of experience in mental health, trauma recovery, addiction, and relationship therapy. As the owner of a thriving private practice in Savannah, Georgia, Ruthie combines her dual master’s degrees in Social Work and Public Policy to offer a holistic, compassionate approach to mental health care.
Trained in Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TSY), EMDR, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, Ruthie brings cutting-edge, evidence-based practices to her work. Her passion lies in helping individuals and couples heal from trauma, build emotional resilience, and create healthier relationships. Ruthie is also a facilitator of SMART Recovery meetings, supporting people on their paths to sobriety and recovery.
A passionate advocate for mental health and social justice, Ruthie serves on the board of the Georgia Society for Clinical Social Workers, where she promotes professional development and ethical practice.
