Speaker Bio

Chantall Hernandez is a Mexican-American Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has been born and raised in Los Angeles (Southeast L.A). She is bilingual in English/Spanish although she enjoys mixing the languages to form her thoughts and better emphasize points clearly around other Spanglish Speakers. Chantall is passionate about de-stigmatizing mental health and sexual health especially within the Latinx community. She believes sexual health should be discussed throughout the life span to promote self autonomy, boundaries, confidence, and prevention of sexual abuse, misinformation about sex, and sexual shame. Chantall emphasizes the importance of exploring childhood experiences to identify unhealthy patterns we have developed that keep many from connecting with themselves and others.
