Latinx Therapy is a national, bilingual network for professionals that identify as Latinx, whether you are a psychologist, psychotherapist or psychiatrist! Associate/Intern levels are welcomed. We are a quickly growing community uniting and helping one another claim space to advocate for mental health in our comunidad. Note, we are embracing of the word LatinX because it is embracing of all identities. We are a network that supports and is an ally of our LGBTQIA+ community.

We have just launched SPEAKER/TRAINER profiles for monthly & annual members that do speaking engagements in the community. There will be a separate map for you and you will also be welcomed in our community to gain insight, tips and a network of support!

I’m loving being a part of Latinx therapy. Despite being from NYC and having both a practice in NY and NJ, it has been difficult connecting with Latinx clinicians. I’m finding this need being met here. One of my favorite membership perks is definitely the peer consult group. Being in private practice can feel isolating at times and I think it’s important to grow in community, brainstorming and running ideas by one another. Community is everything in this work. Todo en comunidad.

Furthermore, during my first month of membership, I received 6 inquiries to meet. Way more than I’ve received from other directories. I’m loving all the work Latinx therapy is doing. There’s so much movement and I’m so grateful and proud to be a part of it. I’m also really looking forward to sharing a piece of my work in the Latinx therapy podcast this hear. I love the potential for building and growing together.

Natalie Gutierrez, LMFT

It gets lonely in the mental health world-[there is] not as many of us, so I thought! But Latinx Therapy has brought me together with some amazing ladies who have shared some great laughs and good company with me. Not as lonely as I thought! I’ve been a part of the Women’s Empowerment Expo where I tabled with a couple other lovely therapists. I’ve also been to the dinner that Adri coordinated at La Guelaguetza. Overall, it feels like I’ve done so much more because I’ve made great connections with other mujeres via Latinx Therapy. For instance, I met someone at the dinner and now we’re meeting up next week to consult and work on our immigration evaluations together! Legit! I also got my first referral about a month in. I’ve gotten a total of 4 clients since! This resource is something that is exciting and revolutionary for our ppl and the mental health stigma associated with our communities.

This therapist directory has been a wonderful tool in growing my practice. In just 2 days I confirmed 4 new clients.

Latinx Therapy has helped me connect with other therapists that work with the Latinx community and  can understand the benefits and challenges I face. I have found resources, support, and professional consultation that makes me a better therapist for my clients.

Yesenia Reta, LCSW

Latinx Therapy is hands down a much-needed service for our community and latinx clinicians. As a clinician, I have seen a surplus of referrals sent my way needing services and looking for a clinician. I have also met, connected, referred and collaborated with other clinicians through Latinx Therapy. It is a well-connected source to the community, provides exactly what clients are looking for and requesting and it gives us clinicians a great number of referrals. It bridges the gaps in our community between making services more accessible for our Latinx community and us clinicians.

Susana Marquez, LMFT

Adriana is not only a great trauma therapist and colleague but also what I like to refer to as a world shaker, history maker! Her heart and passion for mental health awareness in the Latinx community led her to create some awesome projects I have had the honor to be part of. This is a much-needed tool for Latinx therapists as much as for our Latinx community. I highly recommend you check it out!

Yanira Peña, LMFT

The connections I’ve made through Latinx Therapy have been ever-impacting in my personal and professional life. I’m constantly getting referrals and opportunities because of this network!
